A 4-step order form will open: (1) Search your property address on the satellite map and confirm it, (2) Select your report type and turnaround speed, (3) Enter your contact details, (4) Pay securely via PayPal or card. The entire process takes under 60 seconds.
Standard delivery is 6–8 business hours from when your payment is confirmed. We also offer Express (under 2 business hours, +$15) and Rush (under 1 business hour, +$25) at checkout. Business hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. Orders placed outside these hours begin processing on the next business day.
After placing your order you will receive an automatic confirmation email with your order reference number. Your completed report is delivered directly to the email address you provided at checkout. If you haven't received your report within the stated turnaround time, please call us at +1 833 334 3934 or email contact@satellitereports.com.
Yes. We cover all 50 US states. Our network of satellite and aerial imagery providers gives us 99.9% coverage of all US residential and commercial properties. If for any reason we cannot find adequate imagery for your property, we will notify you immediately and issue a full refund.
Your completed report is emailed to the email address you provided during checkout as a PDF attachment. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it within the expected timeframe.
Each order is for one property address. For multiple properties, please place separate orders — each order takes under 60 seconds. If you regularly need 10+ reports per month, contact us about volume pricing by calling +1 833 334 3934.
You need four things: (1) the full property address, (2) your name and email address, (3) the report type you want (Residential, Commercial, Blueprint, etc.), and (4) a valid payment method (card or PayPal). For New Construction orders you'll also need to upload your blueprints or construction plans.
Our team processes orders and answers support enquiries Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. Orders placed outside of business hours or over the weekend are queued and processed first thing the next business morning. Rush and Express turnaround options apply within business hours only.
Yes. Many of our clients are roofing contractors, insurance adjusters, and restoration companies who order reports for their clients' properties. You simply enter the property address at the time of ordering — ownership is not required. The completed report is sent to the email address you provide at checkout.
Yes. The order form includes an Additional Notes field where you can specify anything relevant — for example, which part of the roof to focus on, whether there's a recent addition or extension, or any known imagery concerns. Our team reads every note before generating your report.
If you notice the address is wrong immediately after ordering, contact us right away by phone at +1 833 334 3934. If work has not yet started, we can correct the address at no charge. If work has already begun on the wrong address, a new report fee will apply for the correct property.
Both — and more. Our clients include roofing contractors, general contractors, insurance adjusters, storm restoration companies, solar installers, real estate investors, property managers, and architects. Our reports are formatted to work with leading estimating software like Xactimate, EagleView, and RoofSnap.
Standard (included) delivers in 6–8 business hours. Express (+$15) delivers in under 2 business hours — ideal for same-day quote meetings. Rush (+$25) delivers in under 1 business hour — for urgent situations. All times are Mon–Fri, 8AM–5PM EST and start from payment confirmation. Orders outside business hours begin next business day.
Yes. We offer a dedicated Multi-Family Report that covers apartment complexes, townhouse rows, duplexes, and similar multi-unit buildings. This report includes per-unit breakdowns and a combined total — perfect for property managers and restoration contractors working large residential portfolios.
Reports & Accuracy
We guarantee 99.5%+ accuracy on every report. All reports go through a dual-check manual review by two specialists before delivery. If your measurements are found to be inaccurate, we will redo the report at no charge within 30 days of delivery.
If you believe your report contains an error, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Email contact@satellitereports.com with your order reference number and a description of the discrepancy. We will review and re-measure the property at no additional charge and send you a corrected report.
Every roof measurement report includes: total roof area, pitch and slope per section, ridge lengths, hip lengths, valley lengths, eave lengths, rake lengths, overhang measurements, number of squares, and a waste factor chart. Blueprint reports additionally include 3D diagrams and annotated dimensions suitable for insurance claims.
We source imagery from Google Earth, Bing Maps, and Pictometry oblique aerial photography. We select the highest resolution available for each specific property. Our AI-enhanced measurement tools are then applied and results are manually reviewed before delivery.
A Standard report (Small/Large Residential or Commercial) gives you complete roof measurements — area, pitch, slopes, lengths, and waste factor — in a professional PDF. A Blueprint report includes all standard measurements plus detailed 3D diagrams, annotated section layouts, and a blueprint-style presentation formatted specifically for insurance claims, permits, and renovation planning.
A siding report measures the exterior walls of a property rather than the roof. It includes full wall area per elevation (front, back, left, right), window and door areas to be deducted, net and gross siding areas, and a waste factor chart. It is used by siding contractors and restoration companies to estimate exterior material quantities.
Waste factor accounts for the material lost due to cutting around hips, valleys, ridges, and roof edges. Every report includes a waste factor chart (typically 10–15% for simple roofs, up to 20–25%+ for complex roofs). This helps contractors order the correct amount of shingles or roofing material without running short or significantly over-ordering.
Roof pitch is measured as a ratio of vertical rise to horizontal run — for example, 6:12 means 6 inches of rise for every 12 inches of run. We calculate pitch per individual roof facet using Pictometry oblique aerial imagery combined with AI elevation analysis, giving you an accurate per-slope pitch across the entire roof rather than a single average.
We always select the most recent high-resolution imagery available for your property across all three of our providers (Google Earth, Bing Maps, Pictometry). For most US properties this is imagery from within the past 1–3 years. If the imagery appears to predate a recent re-roof or structural change, please mention this in the Additional Notes field and we will flag it in your report.
Yes. Every report includes an aerial overview image of the property with roof sections labelled. Blueprint reports also include Pictometry oblique (angled aerial) images showing each elevation of the roof in detail. These images are sourced from our imagery providers — they are not ground-level photos.
Our aerial measurements are within 99.5% accuracy of a physical measurement in the vast majority of cases. The advantage of aerial measurement is speed, safety, and no need to access the property. Physical measurements can still have human error. Our dual-check quality review means that for standard residential and commercial properties, our measurements are consistently reliable for estimating and insurance purposes.
Yes. If you believe there is an inaccuracy or you need additional measurements not included in the original report, raise a support ticket or call us at +1 833 334 3934 within 30 days of delivery. Re-measurements for errors are free. If you need a completely different scope added to the report, a supplemental fee may apply.
A Multi-Family report covers properties with multiple dwelling units on the same roof footprint — such as duplexes, triplexes, apartment buildings, and townhouse rows. The report provides both per-unit and combined measurements, making it easy for property managers, HOAs, and contractors to calculate material quantities for each unit or the building as a whole.
Payment & Billing
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as PayPal. All payments are processed securely through PayPal's checkout system. We do not store your card details at any point.

Pricing varies by property type and report complexity: Small Residential ($25), Large Residential ($35), Multi-Family ($45), Small Commercial ($55), Large Commercial ($75), Blueprint Report ($65), and Siding Report ($45). Express turnaround adds $15; Rush adds $25. See our Services page for full pricing.
No. We operate on a pay-per-report basis. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, no minimums, and no contracts. You only pay when you order a report. This makes us ideal for contractors who need reports on an as-needed basis.
Yes. All payments are processed through PayPal's platform using 256-bit SSL encryption. We never see or store your card details — PayPal handles the entire transaction. You can also pay with your PayPal balance if you have one.
If we are unable to deliver your report due to insufficient imagery coverage for the property, we will issue a full refund. If you believe your report is inaccurate, we will re-measure and re-deliver at no charge rather than issuing a refund. Refunds are not available for completed reports where the measurements are verified as accurate. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Yes. If you have a coupon or promo code, you can enter it in Step 3 of the order form before proceeding to payment. Yes. All prices on our website and in our order form are listed and charged in US dollars (USD). If you are paying from outside the US, your bank or PayPal will handle any currency conversion at their applicable exchange rate.
File Formats
PDF is the standard format included with every report. PDF files open on any device and are suitable for sharing with clients, insurance companies, and contractors.
Our PDF report includes an aerial overview image of the property, a labelled roof diagram, facet-by-facet area and pitch breakdown, ridge/hip/valley/eave/rake lengths, total roof area in square feet and roofing squares, a waste factor chart, and (for Blueprint reports) 3D diagrams and annotated dimensions. The report is professionally formatted and ready to attach to quotes and insurance claims.
Standard Residential reports are typically 3–5 pages. Commercial and Multi-Family reports range from 5–10 pages depending on roof complexity. Blueprint reports are 6–12 pages including diagrams, annotated elevations, and supplemental charts. All reports are concise and designed for quick use on-site or in the office.
No. All reports are delivered exclusively as PDF files. We do not offer Excel, CSV, XML, or any other file format. The PDF contains all measurement data in a clean, professional layout that is easy to read, print, and share with clients or insurance companies.
No. Reports are only delivered as PDF files — we do not produce or deliver DWG, DXF, or other CAD formats. Note that DWG and DXF are accepted as upload formats when submitting your construction plans for a New Construction/Blueprint order, but the finished report you receive will always be a PDF.
No. Reports are delivered as standard, non-editable PDFs. This preserves the integrity of all measurements and ensures the data cannot be altered. If you need to incorporate the measurement data into your own quote document, you can copy the figures from the PDF manually.
Yes. All our reports are formatted for print at standard US letter size (8.5" × 11") in portrait orientation. Reports are print-ready at 300 DPI and display clearly on both black-and-white and colour printers.
Standard reports are typically 1–5 MB in size, making them easy to email to clients or upload to insurance portals. Blueprint reports with full diagrams may be 5–12 MB. If you need a compressed version for a file-size-limited system, we can provide one on request.
Yes. Once you receive your report PDF, you are free to share it with your clients, insurance adjusters, general contractors, or anyone else relevant to the project. There are no restrictions on how you use or share your delivered report. Many contractors attach reports directly to their quotes and insurance claim submissions.
For New Construction and Blueprint orders requiring plan uploads, we accept: PDF, JPG, PNG, DWG, and DXF files. Maximum file size is 10 MB per file, and you can upload up to 2 files per order. If your plans exceed 10 MB, please compress or split them before uploading, or contact us and we can arrange an alternative transfer method.
Yes. Our measurements are formatted to be directly usable with leading estimating platforms including Xactimate, EagleView, RoofSnap, AccuLynx, and JobNimbus. The report provides all the measurement inputs these platforms require — total area, slopes, pitch, and facet-by-facet breakdown — so you can enter the data quickly without manual calculations.
Technical
Yes, for new construction we offer a Blueprint Report service. Select "New Construction" as the property type in the order form and upload your construction plans, blueprints, or architectural drawings (PDF, JPG, PNG, DWG, DXF accepted, max 10 MB per file). Our team will use your uploaded plans to generate the measurements.
We source imagery from multiple providers — Google Earth, Bing Maps, and Pictometry — and always select the most recent and highest resolution available. If the most recent imagery does not reflect current roof conditions (e.g. after a recent re-roof or addition), please note this in the "Additional Notes" field. For new construction or major changes, the Blueprint Report with uploaded plans is the best option.
Yes. We measure all roof types including flat, low-slope, gable, hip, mansard, shed, and complex combination roofs. For flat commercial roofs, our measurement includes total area, perimeter, parapet wall details, and rooftop penetrations. Select the appropriate property type (Commercial or Residential) when ordering.
Yes. Our Large Commercial Report is designed for complex multi-section properties, warehouses, distribution centres, and large facilities. If your property is exceptionally large or has unusual complexity, contact us before ordering at +1 833 334 3934 and we can advise on the best report option.
Currently we serve properties located in all 50 US states. We do not currently offer measurement services for properties outside of the United States. If you have a specific international requirement, please contact us and we will advise if we can accommodate it.
Steep-pitched roofs (8:12 and above) are measured using Pictometry oblique aerial imagery, which provides angled side-view data to accurately capture the true slope and run of each facet. Our AI tools then apply the pitch correction to calculate true surface area rather than just footprint area. Our 99.5%+ accuracy guarantee applies equally to steep-pitched roofs.
Solar panels do not obstruct our measurement process because we measure the underlying roof surface, not the panels. Your report will note the presence of solar panels and their approximate location on the relevant facets. We still provide full area measurements for the roof beneath — useful for insurance, re-roofing, or maintenance planning that requires solar panel removal and re-installation.
Yes. A re-roof does not change the structural dimensions of the roof — pitch, area, ridge lengths, and slopes remain the same unless the deck was modified. We always use the most recent imagery available. If the re-roof included structural changes (e.g. adding a dormer or changing pitch), mention this in the Additional Notes and consider the Blueprint Report with uploaded plans.
If your property has a main building plus a detached garage, shed, or accessory structure, let us know in the Additional Notes field. We can include secondary structures in your report — either as part of the same order or as a note on what is and isn't included. For very large multi-building sites, contact us before ordering to confirm scope and pricing.
There are a small number of scenarios where aerial measurement is not suitable: (1) properties with no imagery coverage (extremely rural or recently constructed with no updated imagery), (2) roofs heavily obscured by dense tree cover, and (3) roofs under major active construction where the structure is incomplete. In these cases, we recommend the New Construction Blueprint Report with uploaded plans, or we will notify you and offer a refund.
Residential reports are designed for single-family homes and small multi-family properties. Commercial reports are designed for retail buildings, offices, warehouses, industrial facilities, and large apartment buildings. Commercial reports handle larger, more complex roof systems and include additional detail for flat, EPDM, and TPO roof types. Select based on the property type, not just size — when in doubt, Commercial is the safer choice for non-residential properties.
